I think it would be very beneficial to allow scripting in the free version. I would really appreciate some clear guidance and documentation by BMD on scripting in Resolve. Or is it not and this is just a bug they will fix? I mean: Does that mean scripting is officially supported in the free version? What's the official word on the use of that variable? Is that something we are not supposed to do and they might remove it? Scripting works when I use Code: Select all app.GetResolve() The script is listed in the Script menu and dragging and dropping it from the explorer onto the Resolve console gives me the same result. The python_get_resolve.py file is located in the same folder. It's placed in the folder Code: Select all DaVinci Resolve\Support\Fusion\Scripts\Comp I have read in the forums by BMD staff that in the free version, you should be able to run scripts from the "Scripts" menu.īut when I do that, all I get is the message that resolve object was a NoneType:Ĭode: Select all AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'OpenPage'Ĭode: Select all from python_get_resolve import GetResolve
